Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi said that the storerooms of 14 police stations of the district were overflowing with the drugs seized under the NDPS Act, due to which there was a problem of keeping other seized goods. For the purpose of disposal of goods and keeping the police station clean, the work system branch of the Superintendent of Police office received proposals regarding the disposal of goods from the concerned police station officers and prepared the record. During the said action, in the presence of Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi, Additional Superintendent of Police Sarita Singh, DSP Nimbahera Badrilal, Police Inspector Jodharam and Sub-Inspector Bhanwarlal Dashora, SHOs of the concerned 14 police stations and store in-charge and work process branch in-charge ASI Govind Kumar and office employees, etc., after matching the necessary records, the drugs were weighed and in order to make the entire process of weighing and destruction of the related goods transparent, photography and videography were done during the entire action.
The Superintendent of Police informed that out of the total 44 cases registered in 14 police stations of the district namely Kotwali Chittorgarh, Kotwali Nimbahera, Sadar Nimbahera, Bhadesar, Bassi, Begu, Parsoli, Kapasan, Badisadri, Nikumbh, Mandfiya, Mangalwar and Shambhupura, in 43 cases, illegal drugs 135 quintal 88 kg dodachura and in one case 02 kg 253 grams ganja were seized from the possession of smugglers during the action by the district police. The illegal drugs seized in all the above 44 cases were destroyed by burning them in the furnace of Wonder Cement Plant of Sadar Nimbahera in the presence of Wonder Cement Police Station Sadar Nimbahera officials Unit Head, Security Head, Deputy Security Officer, AFR Head, Admin Incharge and Senior Manager of Environment Department by the District Drug Disposal Committee Chittorgarh.
